Tracey is a self-taught artist whose focus is on digital art, however she is very comfortable working in more traditional mediums such as pencil and acrylic paints.
She has a deep interest in Art History, which is where she found many different artists whom she admires and have influenced her greatly. Tracey's other inspiration comes from the world around her - the organic beauty and striking colours of nature remain unparalleled.
Tracey also loves graphic pieces and the impact that a few strokes and lines can have to relay a concept or feeling so clearly. This may be why she also enjoys creating fashion sketches, which use simple forms and shapes to describe movement, colour and texture.
Tracey likes to create work that can represent shared experiences, things we can all relate to in some way or another, and highlight what is important in the art scene.
Here are some sites Tracey enjoys:
McMichael / Canadian Art Collection
National Gallery of Canada - especially the work of Prudence Heward,
Norval Morisseau and Maud Lewis
